The KOREA POLICY REVIEW FOUNDATION (KPRF) seeks to offer academic internship opportunities to US college/university students who are pursuing a degree in policy relating to U.S. and South Korea relations.  The KPRF Summer paid-internship program seeks to offer students real-world experience and an opportunity to contribute their skills, knowledge and abilities in US Government agencies in Washington, DC

KPRF plans to award up to THREE (3) paid internships.  Each selected internship winners will receive a stipend in the amount of $2,000 for their service.  Selected interns are required to work full-time during the Summer, for a minimum of 2 months.  All travel expenses will be made by KPRF, however, internship winners are responsible for their own housing (room and board).  More detailed information will be provided at a later date.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • U.S. citizen;
  • Enrolled in a U.S. accredited college studying toward a policy degree, relating to U.S. and South Korea relations;
  • Attained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale; and
  • Past winners of KPRF internship are not eligible

  • Past winners of DKWF scholarship and internship are not eligible

 

 

Selection Criteria: Selection of KPRF interns will be based on applicant’s skills abilities and academic and special achievements.

Essay: Please submit an essay (500-750 words) explaining why you believe the KPRF internship will enhance your professional development, preparing you for your future career.

To apply:  Applications will be accepted starting January 1.  Submit your completed application form, your essay, two (2) letters of recommendation/reference and your resume. Your completed application packet should be mailed to:

Application Deadline: The postmark deadline for applications is March 30.  Winners will be notified by April 30.  We will only notify the winners.
